We are delighted to welcome Stuart Will to Team Solab.

As leading IT experts, our team continues to expand, introducing exciting talent. Welcome Stuart Will, who joins our team of engineers as a Help Desk Engineer. With his wealth of knowledge and expertise, Stuart will play a key role in assisting and accommodating our clients.

Get to know him better through our Q&A session below.

What’s your career background?

Before joining Solab, I spent 7 years in the Royal Navy as a Communications Technician, where I polished my skills in communication and technology. Before that, worked in various customer service and retail roles, which helped me develop strong interpersonal skills and a customer-centric approach.

What were you most looking forward to in your new role?

In my new role, I’m particularly excited about the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of IT features and services. I saw it as a chance to improve my skills and knowledge in the field, while also helping me to narrow down my future specialisation within the industry.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?

The best piece of advice I’ve ever received is simply “believe in yourself”.

What has been your biggest challenge?

One of my biggest challenges was completing a Politics and International Relations degree. It required a high level of dedication and time management to maintain submission deadlines over the 4 years.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

Outside of work, I enjoy reading Sci-Fi/Fantasy and History books, as they allow me to unwind and expand my knowledge and imagination. Additionally, I’m passionate about fitness and you’ll often find me at the gym, quite enjoying kettlebell workouts. I also love spending quality time socialising with friends and family.

When you were 5 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was 5 years old, I dreamt of becoming a train driver, of course, inspired by the adventures of Thomas the Tank Engine.
