Training Wizard

Developed in response to our client’s requirements, our Training Wizard service gives you the benefit of the services of an experienced, multi disciplined Trainer “on staff” for as many days a month as you require.

Rather than send staff on a 2 day computer training course which covers a broad spectrum of ICT topics – a lot of which may not be specific to their use of the software in their job – why not provide them with short bursts of expert training on the features they really need to use to get their job done at their own desk.

Delegates attending courses often find it difficult to take topics learned in an exercise environment back to the workplace and apply them to their own situation. With Training Wizard the topics taught are specific to the individual’s needs and can be demonstrated on their own files, on their own systems and often resolves long standing problems in the process.

Typical features of this service include:

  • Skills Development for all staff on your site in the software
    applications they use or should be using
  • Analysis of the training required for individuals
  • Provision of training at their desk, or in a dedicated area, on
    all Microsoft Products
  • Group and team training, presentations and overviews
  • Roll Out preparation, training and post roll out support
  • Repairing templates created in a previous version of the
    software which no longer work
  • Ensuring consistency and corporate standards in network
    templates and workgroups across the entire company
  • Improving on existing and creating new templates to ensure that staff are working in the most efficient method possible
  • Resolving any issues with problem documents, spreadsheets
    or databases
  • Identifying any requirement for training out with the office that can be carried out at Solutions Training Centre either by
    inclusion in an “open” course or by tailoring a bespoke course
  • Training designed to the individual’s requirements. This can incorporate more than one application within a day.
  • Advising on the most appropriate software solution to tackle a
    task or project
  • IT Inductions to new members of staff
  • Supporting the IT Department by covering any issues which
    are repeatedly reported and can be incorporated into a
    training plan with staff to avoid repetition of the same problems
  • Involvement in IT projects from planning stage to completion
    i.e. Upgrades, installation of new mail systems and/or
    software. We will already have been using the new software
    and can fore warn at planning stage of any problems that
    may arise from upgrades in relation to existing document,
    templates, macros and databases. Preparation of ICT User
    Guides that give staff all necessary information regarding
    your IT systems and company policies regarding it’s use
  • Preparation of Frequently Asked Questions documentation
    (FAQ’s)
  • PC Clinics and ‘On the Spot’ fix and train
  • Provide the information on all training performed to allow you
    to update personnel and training records. All 3rd party shadow
    training is recorded for Investors in People entry.
  • We will also take on board training in any bespoke software
    the company may use, given the appropriate information and
    consultancy time
  • Simple flat rate cost model for all services
